The time is really dependent on the jar, the media size, how much media is in the jar, and how much material you are trying to mill. I do not mill aluminum, but for BP mill times vary between hours and 8 hours depending on the setup. I believe that German Black Head has a nominal mesh size of 200, but contains particles as small as 2µ.

I would like to gather some experience from you: How many hours do you ballmill your BP, and for what purpose? And, propably the most important question: Can you mill for too long, and ruin the result? Blowing shit up is not a goal in itself.
